Well I stayed at the Hotel real del rio.
They have Jacuzzi suite that was Great.
If your having some one come visit you
they love the jacuzzi. :) It's clean
and a 5 min or so taxi ride. Now if you
want to stay in the zone. I can't help.
but there are others that can.

Here are a couple of sites with a wealth of TJ hotel information. Each of the sites has a lodging/hotel section so please browse these sections before asking site members newbie questions.

http://www.tjamigos.com (free site)
http://www.clubhombre.com/ (pay site $6 a month)

It all depends on your level of TJ experience you have. A good place for novice mongers would be the Pueblo Amigo. It's right next to the border and just a short cab ride to the ZN. If you're looking for something closer to the action then check out the sites I suggested.

As stated, it depends on your budget and where in Tijuana you want to stay.  Currently there aren't any first rate hotels near the Zona Norte, where most mongers go.

For first rate hotels ($90.00+) try the Pueblo Amigo Hotel, near the border.  Or someplace in the Zona Rio like the Hacienda del Rio--very chica friendly--or the Hotel Lucerna.

In downtown Tijana, prephaps the best place is Villa Zaragosa, near 7th and Madero ($50.00+).  In the Zona Norte itself, the Leva ($35.00+) is a common choice.  The Zaragosa is somewhere bewteen a Travel Lodge and Best Western.  The Leva, like all the hotels in the Zona Norte, makes a Motel 6 look good.

You will find a lot of information about these, -and other hotels, using the links somebody else posted.

Good luck.

I forgot to include a link to a site that provides information some of the better hotels in Tijuana.  It is:  http://www.seetijuana.com/english/9_1_hotels.html

This is one of my favorites: www.hotelpalacioazteca.com
