I was there last year.  There is action at the clubs, but it is much more expensive than in TJ.  I hooked up with a couple of ladies in Bolero, and both of them gave me their numbers to see them outside of work as well.  They charged me half as much outside of the club ($100 US for 30 minutes) as they cost inside the club.  I assume that meant that the club took a 50% cut.  Also, there are several ladies who work the street near the hotel Mar de Cortez, although I did not partake, the opportunity was certainly presented on several occasions.
