the sentri drop off is the closest point where a taxi can drop someone off at the border...closest to where the pedestrians cross.

La Mansion is about 2 or 2 1/2 miles from the mexi coach drop off.  A taxi libre can get you there for less than $3.

The SENTRI drop off is used when returning to the US, not when entering Mexico.   (There are separate pedestrian gates for entry and exit.  You enter Mexico on the west side of Interstate 5 and return on the east side of Interstate 5.)

The SENTRI drop off is the closest place in Tijuana to the border that can be reached by cab when returning to the U.S.  Can you visualize the old port of entry building with the US flag before you enter the current Customs building?  The Mexican part of that street (near the Pharmacies) is the SENTRI drop off.  As you are headed into the US the lane for cars with a SENTI pass is to your immediate left.

When entering Mexico the Mexicoach bus takes a person from the Border Station Parking lot (on Camino de la Plaza, just west of Interstate 5) to the bus station in downtown Tijuana on Revolucion between 6th and 7th.  

La Mansion is located in the Zona Rio and isn’t within walking distance of either the border or downtown TJ.  It costs about $5.00 in a yellow cab to reach La Mansion from either the border or downtown TJ.  

Normally mongers find a chica before going to La Mansion.  La Mansion will send chicas to your room if you check in unaccompanied.  However, I recommend against that as the service provided by their referrals is sub-par.

It's about 100 yards south of the US Customs building, to the extreme right of where all the cars line up to cross back into the US.
It's also about 100 yards north of the Pueblo Amigo Hotel which is tall enough to be seen around the area.

Be aware there are usually either a few TJ cops or a few Federales that stand near the pedestrian bridge and they may stop and search you. I've had many friends being searched there recently.

These aren't usually the corrupt cops that are looking for bribe money and are looking for guys with drugs.

If your buddy or if you are think about bringing back some extra boner meds or some other drugs, think again and if you get stopped with some prescription drugs without a prescription, you're in some serious trouble.
If you're going to need and buy a boner med, go into a pharmacia and take it right there, don't travel the streets with it on you.

TJ isn't as a free for all, wild and crazy as it used to be.
