Spent a weekend down there about a year ago. Didnt see any indication at all of mongering possibilities. Mostly an agricultural town with a couple hotels on the beach. That said, if youre looking for a place to just chill on the beach for a bit and is within a 4 hour drive of the border, it's a great place. You'll have miles of beach practically to yourself and if you have a 4x4, you can drive along the beach as well. really a fantastic getaway.
