Hey, fellow hobbyists.  Just make sure you know exactly where you are supposed to be picked up as I drove a 100 miles, walked across the border to Calientes - a race book place - and waited over an hour for one of these ladies last Friday with nary a show.  Later e-mail told me she had also waited an hour, but can there be two "Calientes" places within four blocks of the border?  Maybe.  The Calientes I waited at was next to a huge hotel, small restaurant and pharmacy.  Hope you have better luck than I did, and I speak/write/read Spanish!!

...and certainly not typical.  I feel your pain but think that you could have dealt with this better.  Let me tell you about an experience I had.

In the early days of her internet career, Rosalba stood me up twice in one day because she had a "high roller" decide to keep her past the scheduled time.  She called me when she was 30 minutes late and promised to show up within the hour.  An hour later she cancelled altogether.

A year later, as she was lamenting to me about a particularly bad day in which she had two regulars no-show as well as missing one appointment with a new client herself, her approach was to insist that she showed up and somehow they did not connect so that she is not at "fault".  To give credit where it is due, she was able to get away with this because she became extremely reliable.

The point of my post is not to bash Rosalba, but to emphasize that any provider has a responsibility just like we do, to show up on time.  If they are unreliable, their reputation needs to reflect it.  

I would have recommended that you talk to the chica that did not show up before you submit this post which basically gave all the honest and reliable chicas in TJ a "purple eye".
