you gotta walk up/cross the ramps and walk over across the 5S. through the turnstiles and out to the McD`s/sportsbook.... one of the lovely Latinas will be there.
I know this question was addressed a while ago but Im gonna bring it back up because I dont think a clear answer was ever given. When crossing the border to meet one of the girls (ie Raquel or Renata), you cross and walk up the back and forth incline ramps? Or is the meeting spot somewhere right inside the gates as the impression is given in some of the reviews. My vague memory of my last border crossing was the walk that involved the ramps and bridge wasnt that short. I could be wrong. I have been before. Lets clarify this! Thanks

You have to cross the bridge either going or coming back. Depends where you park.
I once met up with a TER buddie and we parked his car on the return side rode together in my car to other side to enter TJ. On the return we rode in his car back to get my car.
When going alone I park on the entrance side and save the walk for my return.
To head into Tijuana by foot there are two ways to get to the entrance:
If you park on the West side of the freeway, you walk to the turnstiles, walk many yards and then make a right turn west, to the row of pharmacias, the sports book Calienté and across the street from McDonald's.
If you park on the East side of the freeway, you have to walk up the ramps, across and over the freeway and then down to the turnstiles.
Using East and West should clear up the confusion. If you can't figure this out from all these posts, maybe you should stay in the US
Thanks guys, especially Rockhard. Youre thinking of the crossing on the west side that I had in my hazy memory. So no ramps from there.... thanks again.
You (generally) meet the Internent girls at Calients Sports betting, which is acroos the street from McDonals. After entering Mexico.
As others have mentioned, most people have to use the ramp or bridge to cross Interstate 5 either before entering Mexico and after returning from Mexico--depending on where you park.
There are, however, some ways around the problem of crossing I-5. One is to take the Mexicoach Bus from the Border Station Parking Lot on Camino de la Plaza, just west of I-5. It takes you downtown to (about) 7th and Revolucion. It returns you to the parking lot. The fee is $2.00 each way.
