Need TJ advice

I'm from LA and I will be staying down in San Diego the 23rd through the 27th next week. I've never been down to TJ for "hobbying," just around LA and Vegas.

I want to go down at least one evening. I won't have a car, so I'll be on foot. I speak Spanish, but I've just never ventured South before. Can any of the experienced hands here give me advice on an itinerary (when to leave SD, when to return), where to go and how to maximize my fun?

Below is a previous post I wrote about six months ago.  Ask anyone in San Diego how to get to the Trolley and take the Blue Line to San Ysidro.  It drops you off a few steps from the border.  (But going you have to climb the stairs and enter on the other side of the freeway; when you come back, you stagger out of immigration and fall into the Trolley.) If you are not staying overnight, buy the $5 all-day pass.  When you will have time?  I prefer the afternoons but nights are fun, too.  Just remember that the Trolley stops running after 1:00 a.m. (It may run a little later on Fridays and Saturdays - www.sdcommute.com)

Also, were you interested in escorts, bar girls (BGs), or street girls (SGs)?  There are many sites dedicated to all three.  I'm a big fan of the escorts because I much prefer GFE but GFE can be had with the BGs and I'm told it can be had with the SGs (but I've never wanted to DATY a SG or get a BBBJ, either).

================================================

First Suggestion: Have Fun & Happy Hunting!

Second Suggestion: Don't drive across the border. Walk across the border and take a taxi.  Ask the driver to take you to Adelita's.  If he tries to steer you somewhere else, tell him if he won't take you to Adelita's, you are going to find another cab who will.  (Some of the cabbies will try to take you to a place such as Purple Rain where they will get a commission for getting you there.)

Once you are at Adelita's, walk in, sit down, and enjoy the view (and maybe more than just the view) of the Bar Girls (BGs).  By all means, feel free to leave Adelita's and walk around the block that Adelita's is on.  There you will see the Street Girls (SGs).  Also check out Hong Kong (far too damned loud for my eardrums but definitely rocking), Chicago Club (dead during the day but still something to see), and one or two of the other bars in the area.

Far too much has been written about La Zona for me to go into detail here re: Which is Better, BGs or SGs?  Adelita's or Hong Kong or Chicago Club or Bar Tropical or YouNameYourFavoriteBar?

Third Suggestion: Think safety. Stay alert, don't take too much money, and don't get so drunk you become an obnoxious target.  Be a gracious guest and a tribute to the Good Ol' U. S. of A.

Fourth Suggestion: Have Fun & Happy Hunting!  Oh, wait.  I'm repeating myself.  I guess that's all this vet can help you with for starters.  You'll have to experience La Zona yourself to learn the rest of the ropes.

Enjoy!

You know what proof of citizenship to carry to avoid a hassle when you cross back, correct?

My friend wants to go this weekend but his passport has expired.  Do you think he will be harrased for that or it won't be a problem.  He's going to pretend that he doen't know it expired.

Why take a chance.
If he can, have him bring his DL and birth certificate.

Sound advice, but not a problem. Not my first time across international borders, but it is my first time Hobbying across them. ;)

Do a search for "Newbie Guide to Tijuana."  (Without the quote marks.) You'll find more information than you'll probably want to read.

I disagree with the "not driving" suggestion.  I think it's better to drive, myself.  You're more mobile and don't have to ride in some bullshit car with bullshit music and a bullshit cab driver who doesn't know where he's going meanwhile yackin on his nextel radio with the homeboys about how his wife left him.

I did a search for the "newbie guide to tijuana" and I found some real messed up stuff.  It's Mexico, guys, not Iran.  I saw one guide where the dude was talking about putting money in his socks.  No kidding, in his socks.

Stuff like this makes it real hard for us when it comes to women.  Makes us all look like clowns.

Just be yourself.  Drive your car, eat your food, and talk your talk.  Tijuana is almost identical to the United States.  Anyone who's traveled would agree.

And a lot of information that is completely bogus and will make you look like a fool, I might add.

Most of the stuff written on the internet is real out of place, if you ask me.
