As most who are interested know TJA has been down for a few days.  My sources say it's like to be down for another week or more.

What I am hearing is the problem is a corrupted data base table has been causing the site to go down periodically for some time now.  The web hosting company is ignoring requests to correct the problem.  (Either they don't know how or have more work then techs to work on problems.)  

I'm also being told TJA will probably switch to another hosting company.  But it will take a long week to transfer all the files to another host, then find and debug the problem.  Eventually, however, it will be back on line.

Thanks for the update, Burt.  After the Ashley Madison incident, one begins to wonder when a site like that goes down...

Not surprising.  The web host cannot seem to fix the underlying problem.  Every time they get it back on-line the same thing happens again sooner or later that is causing the site to crash.
