hey guys...will be in SD next month and looking to visit TJ again...have been perusing this board for tips but between the abbreviations and spanish still a little unsure of the best spots. Actually visited last year in March with a couple buddies...had no real knowledge of what to expect...asked the cabbie at the border to take us where the "chicas" were and we ended up at Purple Rain. Not bad but I'm thinking there's better places available. Finished up the day at Animals (?) on Revolution getting drunk with Spiderman on tequila and heading back before dark. Thankfully we had no problems athough some of the stories on here make me a bit nervous. We are professional guys in our 40's looking for quality and service...not necessarily  for "bargain basement"...just a comfortable enviroment, possibly with some entertainment, drinks, maybe some decent grub and of course a nice selection of ladies. Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for all your help!

Ask the cabbie to take you to Adelitas.  If he says that they are closed or some other excuse why he can't, get out of the cab and go to another.  Once you are dropped off at Adelitas, you can either go inside or simply walk around the block.  I'm not necessarily recommending Adelitas -- it's not my favorite place -- but it's a start.  There are several other decent haunts, all within 1 1/2 minutes walking distance.  Chicago Club, Hong Kong, Tropical Bar -- check 'em out and see which ones you like and dislike.  Oh, yeah -- don't forget to walk the alley and at least take a look at the "street girls" -- it's a trip.

TJ is not as bad as some say.  It's not without its problems.  Stay together, don't get completely polluted, don't get stupid -- and you should have a great time.

Good Luck -- Happy Hunting!

gmbridx thanks...exactly the kind of info I was looking for. Much appreciated. Anyone else??? Someone mentioned Rosarito beach resort??? Any action down there for us mongers??? Did a google search and it seemed like a spring break kind of place. (too old for that scene) but it would be nice to hang out at the beach.

Rosarito really doesn't have any mongering action unless you bring it there yourself.  If you get to know a girl from the bars, she might welcome a day trip to Rosarito.  But don't expect to pick up any there.

chicago bar and adalitas are in the zona norte.  It is legal to visit hose places so you should have no worries and expect an affordable excelent time.  The streets are NOT legal and would recomend that you do not do anything illegal while in mexico.

When i go i like to stay in Rosarito and take cabs up to TJ for partying.  Rosarito can be a spring break town but in the offseason its a quite quaint little beach community.  (cabs to TJ is about 40 mins and 25 bucks)

Technically Chicago Club and Adelita Bar are not "legal" either.  Prostitution is illegal in Mexico.  It is, however, "tolerated" in certain zones, and you will not be hassled for doing it if you keep it in those areas.

While the street girls may not be "technically" tolerated (since the "tolerance" includes requiring regularly-updated health cards), I have *never* seen any guy get any kind of hassle for doing action on the streets so long as it's in the "approved" area.  Street girls are working right in front of the police substation on Av. Constitucion, for cripe's sake.  That area and the alley behind Adelita Bar (where you can also find Hong Kong Bar, some great times here) are perfectly fine.

Just don't do any open mongering on Revolucion, though, since that is not in the "zone of tolerance."

As for where to stay, I like to be in the middle of the action, so my favorite place to stay is the Hotel Rizo de Oro, which is above the Tropical Bar.  (This is across the street from Adelita Bar, a bit further west on the same block.)  My backup is Hotel Hacienda de Santiago, on the corner of Coahuila and Revolucion.  (Coahuila is the street that Adelita and Tropical Bars are on.)

Both of these are comfortable hotels and affordable, under $40 a night for single rooms the last time I checked.  HdS is somewhat nicer, and some rooms also have little kitchen areas.  But RdO is more convenient since I take up girls from the Tropical Bar and then don't have to pay an hourly room fee.

you could get more information by PM that the rules here do not allow to be posted.

There are many options:
You can search for agencys since it's the safest in TJ.
The hotel Premier, or Hacienda de santiago are close to LA ZONA.
You can bar-hop between all of them.
Since you can afford better! you can get an agency girl first; To ensure you going to get a good ^^; She can answer some of your ??..(It does not mean you gonna have e better time) After 12 noon all the bars are open, as time progresess it gets better n better.. And drink a dos XX,beer would ya???

You're correct so you should be able to get emails.
Have you checked out the reviews on any of the ladies in TJ?

I would also in general recommend that your first time going to the red light district of TJ, don't rely on cab drivers (who will take you to the places that pay them off), but instead get a regular monger to show you around.  In my social circle, for example, I've been a "tour guide" for quite a few groups over the years, since I've got almost ten years experience going down there at least monthly.  So if you're interested, drop me a line and we'll see if our schedules can match up.

All I ask is a few rounds of drinks. :)
