I've only gone south once since the passport/ birth certificate thing went into effect.  A saturday afternoon, very few tourists, and the longest return line of my life. That was about 2 months ago.

Have things settled down at all?  I really want to go back to AB, CC and HongKong.

What's the deal?  Any good news?

I believe Saturday and Sunday late morning and afternoons are generally the longest lines of the week.  Usually after 7pm the wait time is more reasonable.

Assumption: You do mean the pedestrian line, right?  Well, the truth is that the pedestrian wait times have actually been quite tame.  Every so often, there's a forty-minute to an hour wait.  But luckily for me, the last several times I've gone down since the first of the year ('bout three to four times per month), the wait has been less than 10 to 15 minutes.  A couple of times, the line was virtually non-existent.

So Get Yo' Ass Back Down To TJ And Support Las Chicas!  ¡Ellas Te Esperan!  (I think that translates to, "The Chicas are waiting for you!"  But I'm not sure...)

wow, thanks guys. i love the place, and have always been treated well by the ladies, the bar workers, restauranteurs, and even the cops. I described a few pat downs in previous threads, where they really were looking for drugs, and showed no interest in the wad of cash I was carrying.  I felt bad that the people I had so much fun with were hurting as a result of all the craziness.  I will be making a trip soon. I was mainly worried about long waits more than anything, but this is good news.  I appreciate the info and will be back down there this week.  Thanks!!!

The wait for cars is longer.  The wait for pedestrians is unchanged.  Most days--Sundays being the big exception--the wait after 7-8pm is very short.
