Guys, I lived in La Paz and go back a couple of times per year. The scene is mostly quiet, but here's the scoop.
There is one place called "el ranchito", it's on the road south. The urban sprawl has covered it, when I first visited it was outside of town. It's hard to tell you all how to find it, but it's well known. I consider it kind of a ripoff. I have fucked 2 girls there, and it was a bummer to haggle and cajole and then have a guy knock on the door after 20 min. But, I fucked a hot 19 yr old and she was probably a newbie. I paid probably $80, too much in my opinion. It is a turnon to see the hot stripper and then be able to fuck her however. They have the touts, the little "drinks" you buy the girls, the whole silly scene. This is the officially sanctioned hooker zone.
There are some girls who are semi-pro in town, in a couple of bars they hang out. I will post again with the names, I forget at the moment. There is a brothel in town, but the madam/owner has asked me not to describe it, she said she doesn't want out of towners for customers. Go figure. It was also expensive, but probably worth it. This is the "undercover" place known to all.
There is a fun strip club called Lord Black. There is also a small place called Tabaris. I love them, it's fun to have a beer and see the most incredibly gorgeous girls. Some of them are also fuckable, but I didn't waste much effort. It's probably a ripoff, these girls make plenty without fucking. Two girls I know personally and have fucked "graduated" to being dancers at Lord Black.
I tend to always have some amateur girls to fuck when I go down, I speak very good spanish and have the ideal gringo look, blue eyes, tall, fair skin, etc.
If you went to La Paz Lapa on a late tuesday night, you can maybe get lucky. The girls are hot to trot on the "ladies night" at this place. My friend got laid there.
I agree that the open sex scene is probably in cabo, but there are always ways to find "diamonds in the rough" everywhere in mexico. The problem is we all tend to have limited time to fool around.
