I'm heading to TJ next week and taking some friends for their first visit.  I've seen posts here in the past recommending a couple of restaurants.  Los Arcoss is one I believe.  Can anyone help with a good place for a meal after some fun at Adelitas and CC?

My mouth is watering right now with the thought of their
Costa Azul followed by their flan. Mmmmmmm............

Oh...and if you have the time, take a drive down the coast to La Fonda's.

There are many fine resteruants in TJ

On Sanchez Toboda which is in back of Plaza Fiesta there are many fine places to eat. Saverinos is one of the best places in TJ
Just ate there and had stuffed peppers with a nice pasta dish and chicken and my gf had Shrimp Scampi and we had a couple margaritas all for under 50 bucks. This is the finest restaruant you will find in TJ.
Go on Sanchez Toboda until you pass Javis bar and Pampas which will be on your right and is an Brazilian buffet for like 16 dollars and you will also pass La Espenada which has the best breakfast in all of TJ and great ribs for dinnner !!! Their Machaca is to die for !!!
Damm I am all over the place here!!!
After La Espenada take a right and you will see Saverinos on your right and you will se TGIF on your left.

All of TJs upscale Mexicans eat at these places along with the finest Cartels :)

Best Strawberry Margarita can be found at Saverinos as well

Rule of thumb is if you find a place to eat of Revo then it is a dive and the food is nothing compared to the other places to eat in TJ

If you are around after 4pm and want to check out some cool music and the 2nd best place for Margaritas and The best place in all of California for Sausages check out Santano Souzio at Plaza Fiesta, they have these Hungarian sausages that will make your mouth water for more. The owner is from Switzerland and his wife is the part owner as well. She is the little Mexicana with big fake knockers :)
They have 2 for 1 drinks specials during the day from 5 to 7 I beleive.

Any other questions ?
Have fun !!!

Milkster is correct.  Villa Saverios is a place to eat.  He is also correct in saying most of the best places to eat are in the Zona Rio--not downtown.

Another place I really enjoy is the restaurant (Rivoli) inside the Hotel Lucerna.  It is also in the Zona Rio, but on Paseo de los Heroes.  After 8pm they have soft lighting and nice piano music.

Cien Anos is outstanding for Carne and other meats. The best Seafood is at Palm Azul, over near the grand hotel. The restaurant you mentioned is named Los Arcos, and it is fairly good, but you would do better by going to Palm Azul for seafood. Drop me a line at [email protected] if you want to know more places....I eat down there a lot.

Thanks a bunch!   Previously there was a link somewhere to a site that included a map of TJ?  Any help there?  I'm not sure that I know where Plaza Fiesta is.

Thanks again

Plaza Fiesta is kiddy corner from the Plaza Rio shopping center.  Many of the better TJ restaurants have a web site.

Some places I've tried and been happy with are:  Villa Saverios, Rivoli, Casa Azul, Casa Placencia, La Diferencia, Chans, Cine Anos, Hacienda Cien Anos, La Costa, Komosa, Faro de Mazatlan, Los Pinos, Duranzos Negros, Pampas.

TJ really does have some decent places to eat.  But one has to be willing to pay more than a buck for a taco.  Prices are better than in the US, but good meals do cost money.
