If memory serves, Colonia Juarez is a decent colonia.  Not one I'd consider dangerous.

However, that's only part of what I'd be thinking about.  Example:
--How well do you know this chica?
--What is she like?  (Civilian, ZN worker, drug user, "gansta," etc.)
--Will you be going during the day or at night?
--How are you going?  (Your car, private car, regular taxi, route taxi.)
--Will you have a wingman?

Tourist muggings aren't especially common in Tijuana.  But that doesn't mean you can't get yourself into trouble by doing something foolhardy.

Obviously going someplace with a civilian girl you know well in the daylight by a route taxi is less dangerous than going someplace at night with a chica from the ZN that you've only seen a few times.

I once had a ZN shoe-shine boy offer to take me to a fiesta (the following Saturday night) where I could meet some girls. I've been to lots of fiestas in TJ without incident, but I passed on his offer--for reasons that should be obvious.

I heard about her from a friend that goes to TJ all the time and he said he had a great time with her he also said it was safe but wated to get additional feedback and I am plannigh to go during the daytime.

Depends on what you mean by dangerous.  Any place has some amount of danger to it.  Personally, I think Juarez is a shit hole, but most women that live in Tijuana and cater to tourists do live in shit holes, anyways.

I think the 2nd poster makes a good point.  The level of danger depends on a lot of things.  How well you know the person, how well you know the city and the legal system, and what your transportation will be.

For example, myself, I was transferred by my work to Tijuana 6 years ago from Europe, so I know the city very well and I drive myself where I need to go.  The chances of me getting messed with by a local are a lot slimmer than a tourist who doesn't know his way around and doesn't speak any language other than English.

Same with any city in any country.  If you're going to spend time with someone that goes beyond just sex, I recommend someone with more class that doesn't live in a bad area.  I've heard too many stories of people getting seriously messed up in a bad situation that all started with a woman.
