Wednesday, March 8, 2023, is Internation Women’s Day | Día de la Mujer.  This is a much more important day in Mexico than it is in the United States.  Although more emphasis should be given to Mother's Day and Valentine's Day, if you are in a relationship with a Mexican chica you ignore this day at your peril.  You should "surpirse" the chicas you are close to (even if you aren't novios) with a gift such as flowers, chocolates, etc. if you don't want to end up in the dog house.
