I am going this Thursday with a couple of friends we usually get there at 3pm and come back by 6pm for a quick run to Adelitas and Hong Kongs.  We have not had any problems in the past.  Just wanted to get an update from the group if it is still safe?

It is as safe now as it ever has been.

Nothing has changed for the worst since your last trip.  Tijuana has been safer under the administration of Mayor Jorge Ramos (which ends in December 2010) than at any time in the preceding decade.  

As always, observe basic security practices, such as not walking back to the border late at night, not exploring dark alleys, etc.  But this is as safe a time to visit TJ as you're likely to ever find.
