I've been told by a member of the PRI party that a demonstration in support of Jorge Hank is being planned for tomorrow, Tuesday June 7, 2011. The plan, I'm told, is for the demonstrators to assemble in Plaza Rio about 3:30 p.m. and, once assembled, march on the prosecutors office demanding that charges be dismissed against Hank.
PRI loyalists are very upset; however, I can't tell how well organized the demonstration is. So I don't know what type of numbers will turn out for the march.
Obviously, this could impact traffic entering Tijuana and in the Zona Rio area.

The demonstration in support of freeing Jorge Hank Rhon was huge. Traffic was tied up for several hours.

Jorge Hank is now free. All charges were dismissed. However, two guns in his collection were used in murders (one of the victims was his son's girlfriend). At present he's a suspect, but the case doesn't seem to be going anywhere. (Because being the owner of a gun used in a murder is not necessarily evidence one committed the murder.)
