CAn anyone estimate the Border Crossing times for this weekend and suggest a time of day better suited to cross?

Just crossed this afternoon around 3pm and it was around 45 minutes.  If you want the shortest time, then seriously, go around 3-4am.

Pedestraian waits depend on the time of day.  During the day the wait will probably be 30 to 60 mintues. After 6-7pm it will be 15 minutes or less.  This is true for most days except Sundays. On Sundays expect waits of 60 to 120 minutes--depending on the time of day--until late at night. (Waits are also longer than normal during summer, holidays, school vacations, and the Christmas shopping season.)

Auto waits are usually around 60 mintues on weekdays and up to 120 minutes (sometimes more) on weekends.  Crossing on foot is always quicker than crossing by car.

I have a SENTRI :-)  So I rarely ever wait, but if I do stay past midnight  Friday is the best on the weekend!

Anytime after 7PM the line is usually short, it gets busier on Sat and than even worse on Sunday.

You'd be surprised on Fridays,  I have gotten into the Sentri line and had to wait 15 min. on a Friday when the regular line is drive up!

Also,  stay as far left as you can and dont try and weasel at the front... it's just not worth the hassel.

And just get a SENTRI BABY!!! It's the only way to fly :-)

Hi - I haven't been on her for awhile.

Jessica and I went down to TJ last week on a Tuesday and I was amazed, returning at 7 pm there was NO wait!  Yea!

I think the new passport rules - which are not in force - and I looked on the State Dept site and apparently they won't go into effect in TJ until summer at the earliest - but I think there are very few Americans going down during the week.

I know our dentist was slow - he told Jessica to eat candy so he could support his family...

Giggle,
TS Jamie :-)
