I don't think it's a great idea for these reasons:

1. I, as a male visitor to the zona, get uncomfortable when gringas show up with guys.  I just feel like a dork seeing them and I think they look out of place and weird.  Either they look down on what's going on, or they get drunk and think they're hot and cool and they generally look like total dumbshits.

2. The ones who look down on it have some legitimacy to their viewpoint and they may look down upon you for taking part in this even more once they see it for themselves.  For example, it can be tough and uncomfortable walking down some of those streets and seeing how young some of those girls are.  I'm not talking about Adelita's.  I'm talking about the girls in the lines on the streets - some of them look VERY young.  I think that could freak out most gringas - hell, it often freaks me out.

3. Some of the chicas may get very put off by it - either because they are really not into sex with another chica and think it's sick; or because there will be a jealousy, anger, put down thing going on where the chica feels the gringa is rude or elitist or something like that.  I just think that's there's more of an uncomfortable downside than is immediately obvious.  On the other hand, hiring an internet girl down there, after you've asked first and made clear what you want and she lets you know she's into it, seems like a good idea to me.

On the other hand, I've never done it, so what the hell do I know?
