I have never been to a M & G. Is it just mingling, drinking meeting someone that you have a chance to hook up later? Or is there more going on? Is there a lot of cock-blocking going on at the M&G or most guys are cordial? Thks...

strictly a mixer of mingling with GENTLEMEN and LADIES who are dressed to impress.  There is no funny business going on and no cock blocking as u put it.  You can hook up later and you will have an opportunity to meet many amazing women.  Read the threads and determine if you want to be a part of it and experience a very well organized event.  Check out our event website at www.nycmng.com.  We have reached 150 RSVPs and again, with an amazing list of ladies who will be visiting from across the US.  Need I say more.  Hope to see you there.

...talking, having a good time. There is food included in the entrance fee paid by the mongers ($45 to $50) along with a cash bar. No cock blocking. No business conducted at the Meet & Greet. There is nothing preventing arranging for take out once the party is over. This is an excellent opportunity to see the ladies your're interested in and to meet the mongers/reviewers you have communicated with on TER.
 
I always enjoy these events and usually see a new (to me) lady or two in the weeks following.

.........do your homework regarding the parties you wish to attend making sure they fit your comfort level.
(ie; cost, rules, etc)

Some parties are 'inclusive of intimacy' for which the fees are, shall we say, generous while others are strictly a social event with no P4P (in the party venue) with a much lower entrance fee.
Some parties are in private settings (hotels rooms, private homes) while others are in public venues (bars, rented halls, beach fronts).
Some parties include booze/food/maybe a show in the entrance fees while others have cash bars.  

These parties are not for all for many different reasons.
I would also add from a hosts POV, please do as requested (typically listed in each hosts ads) for the best results/a good first impression.
Remember, you are asking permission to attend.
Being a repeat reviewer, other party attendee or site member does not grant you privileges to bypass each hosts individual screening process.  
Your hosts are putting in an enormous amount of time/effort for these events.
And the most important aspect of hosting is assurance of all their guests continued anonymity and safety.

Are mostly cocktail parties where the ladies in attendance are providers, and the other guys fellow hobbyists.  Everyone there gets along.  It is possible you may be able to hook up with someone afterward, but not guaranteed unless you make plans beforehand.  Go there as you would any other cocktail party, and see what happens.

a Soiree.. which is typically full interaction.. a lot fewer people.. (like about 10 guys and 10 girls max).. and costs a lot more.. an M&G.. is not a soiree..
