Had a great M&G tonight.  Great buch of lovely ladies and handsome gents.  Good food, good company and we had a great time.  Many/ many new faces this time.  Thanks to all for coming.

I really do not understant the no call / no show persentage of ladies that do that.  I had OVER 50% no call and no show from the independant ladies.  

Had almost 10% NC/NS from the guys.

What persentage do you other hosts have of NC/NS???

Yes Jimmy, you threw a great party and it was good to meet you. Even though there were some many ladies, the ladies who WERE there were quite exceptional. Thanks again!

From what I have heard, 30-40% NCNS (from the guys) is to be expected from the bigger events.

And the women will, almost always, skip a party if someone wants to schedule an appointment, which explains their higher rate of NCNS.

I knew someone who had very good success by charging the women as well as the men.  The women had to pay her, in advance, I believe.  It greatly reduced the number of them who cancelled.  And since those parties were much smaller, the guys were also well vetted to be the kinds not to cancel.

My guy no shows had been under 5% before and I will correct that by dropping guys from the invite list for no shows.  The ladies, I am working on a better ratio also.

As you know, I "retired" from hosting.  From what I gather, my gatherings were probably the biggest out of anybody.  I regularly hosted 150-200 people.

Anyway, my rule of thumb was a 50% turnout for the ladies and a 65% turnout for the gents.  My parties usually averaged 60-70 ladies in attendance which was about a 55-60% turnout.  I think the highest I ever received was a 75% turnout.  They guys usually average between 60-70%.

I never even considered not inviting people because of a NCNS.  Believe me, if u do that, imho, your guest list will be so small that it won't be worth having the party.  Its part of the chance u take when u host.  It got to the point that I knew what to expect, so my food order was pretty much right on.  Not too much, not too little.  I never provided drinks.  The liability is just huge.

Bottom line, while it is disappointing that folks NCNS, its part of the risk u take when u host.

but in Vegas, there was always a larger percentage of touring visiting and out of town ladies than at the LA parties... its always a combination of who is hosting the event, wherte its being held, etc.

I wouldn't take to heart the NC/NS %'s... look for the success in t he people who attended and had a great time.  

I was so dissapointed when I posted that.  YES, everyone had a great time so I was told. It would be "nice" if they would let us know.  God forbid if I were to NC/NS on an appoitnment. LOL  LOL  I'm happy that I can do the M&G's and enjoy the company of so many fine people.  Till another day, I shall bid farewell to this  and apologize if it caused drams.  JPW

Sad...we used to have such great parties in NYC...now, the majority are in either Vegas or SoFla..

At least for the last two that I've been involved with.  In general, we figure approx 2/3 will show.  We exceeded that the other week relative to the ladies!  Super turnout of lovely ladies.   But I was very disappointed with the turn out of guys!  We even put out reminder emails asking folks to kindly let us know if they could no longer make it.  Only a few guys complied, which we appreciate very much.  Now Vegas is expensive.  The venues, security, booze and food adds up.  So our $100 cover is admittedly a bit high.   But considering the turnout of ladies, that should have been a great incentive.

U think LV is expensive?  Try LA.  LOL.
