I wasn't sure if this was something I should of asked on the newbie board but since its in relation to a recent M&G, I felt more comfortable asking for any advice from both angles (hobbyist/provider) here.
I was invited to a recent M&G (the city in where it was held doesn't matter) and from everything that I've read a lot of people are very warm and happy to put a face with an alias.
But of course make business propositions at some point throughout the event.
I consider myself a very easy going and charming person to be around. The gentlemen were pleasant but I didn't feel I drummed up any "extra" business. I am not bleeding by any means or dying of starvation but I thought it was suppose to be a gathering where one could meet and possible arrange future meetings.
Being a provider that blurs out/crop her pictures, I thought it would of been a nice change of pace to let EVERYONE see me in the flesh.
It boils down to one actual question, was I not aggressive enough in regards to hustling?
Also, once I arrived, I've notice how I wasn't dressed like everyone else. I always been a VERY low key person but would it had been a good idea to dress like my occupation and hustle like I use to when I was a dancer?
Any ideas or comments are always welcomed.
And if I posted this on the wrong board, my sincere apologies to everyone.
Most of time I don't go there looking to schedule something that night, but I have gotten lucky! I like to relax and meet as many people as possible. Add a few ladies to my list of must sees, scratch a few others off. Then I will schedule something for later. Sometimes there are so many people, and funds are limited that it takes me a while to see the ladies I want to see.
As for being more aggressive, I would say that getting your contact info into the guys hands is the key. You can't sit back and wait for people to come to you, just like any party, be outgoing and fun. Beyond having fun, you may come across as pushy.
Dress code, low key is better. Dress nicely, even sexy, but it's always a little uncomfortable to have girls looking like hookers. Discretion is still a good idea.
It may be weeks or months before any the guys you met decide to get in touch. FYI, as a hobbyist, most of the ladies I met with for the first time this year I had met previously at M&G's. In no case did I contact them immediately afterward...it was always weeks later.
As for discussing arranging future meetings at these events, would play this by ear, and it also depends on the nature of the event, i.e., whether the M&G is in a public or private venue. If you have any business cards, bring them and pass them along to guys you might be interested in meeting in the future. At least we will remember you then! If there is an afterparty, go if you can. As for attire, the sexier you dress, the more attention that you will draw from us guys...and potentially, future business. Good luck and have fun!
I think that what was said was true.. You need to say hello, be friendly and give out contact info. Try again, as there might have been a lot of other attractive ladies there. No need to be pushy, guys are not shy around attractive friendly ladies, especially one built like you. Good Luck and visit again.
I was at the M&G you were at and you need to be alittle more outgoing. You are a very sexy lady but you seemed alittle standoffish (maybe because it was your first M&G). I usually go to meet the ladies and schedule my dates at a later time. Again you are a very sexy lady and I had planned on seeing you the next time you are in my area.
Virtually all of the M & Gs I've been to (public gatherings), it's been stated up front that no biz was to be conducted. Strickly "window shopping" and a getting to know you type thing.
It's also been a great way to renew old aquaintances.
Sorry you didn't have a lot of success in meeting folks. Much depends on the Host. I think it generally works out better if the host is a hobbyist rather than a provider. Hobbyists may be "cornering" the female host where as a hobbyist might take more time introducing you to other guests. (MHO)
