Important message about the Tampa Soiree'.........sad_smile

Over the last 5 Tampa Soiree' parties we have received “complaints”, “inappropriate”, and other comments from people who didn't like us, had a grudge, or was mad that they hadn't got an invitation, even though they never asked for one. These we took seriously, but, shrugged off as just pissing and moaning, and nothing ever happened.
But, in the last few days, I have been receiving anonymous, specific email “threats” from several people who have made it their purpose to disrupt, and cause problems, to anyone attending this party.
The threats are in the form of threatening to notifying the press and LE of the date, time and place of the party, putting your, the invited guests, safety and security at risk.
This is something I won't tolerate.                                                                                                                        
With the changes on TER, some are becoming more outspoken and brazen in their comments and feel they can say and do whatever they want, without repercussions or consequences. And it seems they are right.
Who these people are is not important, they will eventually show themselves by the disruptive and derogatory comments they continue to post on the boards.
Because of these threats, with the safety and security of the guests at heart, I have no choice but to CANCEL THE TAMPA SOIREE' #6. Also, because of these threats, I have no interest in planning another M&G party, so the bastards have won. You, the people who just want to have some fun, relax, and enjoy a nice cocktail party are the losers.
I apologize to anyone who may have made plans to attend, and wish to thank, sincerely, all of you who have made the Soiree' the great event that it was.

Although we have had our differences, nobody should ever be subjected to that. I know that you put on a quality event that people really enjoy and this kind of backbiting has no place.

#2 was a nice low key event, I totally enjoyed the atmosphere and meeting Bobb and others.

Life's lesson: Just goes to show, whenever you have a good thing going, there are always a few miserable dicks with nothing to do but screw it up for everyone else.

that we know who these people are.  They sound like the kind of people who could give either a provider or a client a hard time.  Idle or general threats are one thing specific are another.  If this an invitation only thing how are they going to know when and where?

It's a sad thing when some people are so petty and childish that they would resort to such immature behavior about a party.  The host has done a fabulous job of undertaking all the headaches of hosting these Soiree's in Tampa.

To those of you that ruined it, I hope you're happy, because you better hope others do not find out your identities.  I know the host will not reveal that to us, because he is above your level of character.

To the host, thanks for all your hard work in the past.  Some of us did appreciate what you did.  I, for one, totally understand why he has taken his position regarding the parties, and don't blame him one bit for not wanting to endure any further harassment.  Also want to thank him for thinking of the safety of others in canceling the Soiree.  While I'm sure many in Florida know who the host is/was, I decided not to publicly use his name.

My first Meet & greet back in 2007 was held in Tampa
The two gentlemen who were gracious enough to welcome this newbie made my experience something very special. 2007 was a good year in my books for TER with less drama going on. One of those same gentlemen still spends his time and in some cases money if not enough is made from the door fee to pay for the venue and services.

Thank you Bob, you are the best and miss your participation here.

Tampa people this was your party so take heed and stand up for a man who has given much to you and our community.

Many newbies put going to a party such as this as high up on their bucket list with see favorite providers. The buddy system seems to have lost it's charm since only someone who knows the location can do such a thing.
