Someone with just one review is NOT my idea of reputable especially if they just joined up.Likewise if his only reference is an unknown quantity like yourself, then he would need other references.
There are on occasion "providers only" get togethers.
Verification is often an unpleasant subject as from time to time noses get out of joint when they shouldn't be. 99% of it is just plain old common sense.
The upside is that the Pool Party, if it happens, is months away. Plenty of time for you and other interested parties to establish your bona fides.
The house I REALLY wanted is not available but we expanded our search area and we're still looking at places. We'll have one picked out by next week. I will make a FINAL decision on doing this in a couple of weeks. I"m leaning strongly in favor of doing it.
If I DO decide to go forward I will NOT be posting anything other than very general info. VERY general. If you are serious about going make sure I get or already have your e-mail at the appropriate time. I will post a notice about that in due course.
Ladies- NOBODY is getting any info without being a KNOWN quantity. I do not see any reviews for either of you. Both of you will need references- either someone you have worked with or for or a reputable hobbyist who has seen you. I know this is tough on newbies and I'm sorry but safety is paramount and will NOT be compromised.
Would the hobbyist have to sign up on TER just to post the one review? And, how would one know he's reputable if he's signed up on here? Would I have to vouch for him/her? If this is the case, then how does one know that the hobbyist is verifiable if I'm the only one who is verifying and I'm a newbie?
I suppose my bottom line question is what makes a hobbyist reputable and how would I attract "him"... or "her?"
Also, since I am new (independent, not with agency) meet and greets are not just to meet other hobbyists but other providers as well. Have you or anyone you met know of providers only meet and greets?

get yourself known on TER..make posts and sooner or later a client will want to see you..I didn't even know I was on here till a client told me..any of your clients you see, ask them if they are a memeber, if they are..there is your review..if not, ask a regular to make a review, as far as a I know he doesn't have to be a member..Do you know any other providers who would vouche for you?
You can't just show up to a party where noone has a clue as to the type of person you are..
Get your self known..
do you have a website? if so, lets see it..
welcome to TER..try the newbie board to ask any questions you might have..
I understand how you are verifying the ladies, but how are you doing the same for the hobbyists? I for one would like to attend. But I have not used "continually" this site nor have I placed many reviews ( I have placed a few though) even though I have been a member for a long while.
It's Easy. Just ask a provider-member here to PM me on your behalf and verify that: you are who you say you are and that you're a respectful gentleman.
