I am planning a party for March 11th in the Columbus area.
* The party will be held at a Private location for our safety. * Their will be no door fee for entry. FREE!!! * Their will be a Cash Bar at the location. * The party will start at 7pm * No food will be provided so please eat before you come to the party. Many of us typically go out to a Burger Joint after wards.
EVERYONE who attends the party will be verified. Providers AND Hobbyists alike. This is to be a safe party where we can just enjoy ourselves.
If you would like to attend the party, please send me an e-mail at [email protected] with your references and I will contact them right away for your verification. Once you are verified, I will add you to the invite list.
This party will not be exclusive to any one sites members. It's just a party for us Hobby Friends.
I will send out all the party details via PM (once you are verified) as the day of the party arrives.
I will occasionally re-post this as it can not be bumped back to the top of the board.
I just thought I'd remind all of you that the party is approaching quickly! The invite is growing and it seems we'll have a heck of a party! Just over 100 people (all verified/vouched and Hobby safe) have asked for invites.
If you haven't cleared your schedule for the evening, you better get it done soon!
If you've never been to a party, don't be shy! It's a great way to meet that cutie you've been looking at online for all this time! Hobbyists, you get a chance to meet those other guys who's posts have made you laugh, or made you mad! LOL Either way, it's a great way to meet others who are just like you!
I have heard that LE is bad in Columbus. A cash bar without a liquor license might attract more attention if they become aware of the get together. Dont want to put a damper on things but you should be aware and be careful of who you invite.
However, the bar is a licensed bar with a liquor license. We know all the rules that go along with this.
This will be the 5th party that I have hosted in the last year or so. Each party has been well attended and we've never had any difficulty with LE because we are NOT doing anything illegal. We are just a bunch of friends having some drinks together.
What makes you think that Columbus is more HOT than other cities? They have no more busts than any other city. And most busts are typically street walkers and hotel stings busting Craigslist girls.
I personally verify each and every person that asks to be invited. I will have security at the door making sure that only those on the invite list get into the party.
I hope this calms your fears. If not, your going to miss a great party.
It was a great place and I'm glad I took the extra day on my way back to Cleveland in order to make it.
I had a good time heating up my shoe leather on the dance floor. Nice to meet some of the newbies as well as get re-aquainted with some old friends.
Too bad that more couldn't have made it, but that's the way it goes. Having planned some other parties I know what goes into getting this all together.
I agree, I really expected more of a turn out last night. I sent out something like 130 invitations and only had 54 of them show.
However, we had a great time and I'm looking forward to the next party (probably sometime in June).
Thank you for bringing the nuts. Everyone seemed to enjoy them. I took the left overs home with me. Still love lots of nuts. I think we are going to have nuts for dinner tonight..lol
