I have attended three M&G's in three large cities and have been disappointed in the turnout from the ladies -- but Bond's stats have been almost exactly my experience. So this thread has clarified my thinking on a couple of key issues.
First, for the price of the M&G's I've attended (free, $40, $100), the advance screening is invaluable. Where else can you see a 30-100 local women in an environment that allows interaction and playful conversation for that price? For all three events I've attended, I have left thinking "Wow, I'm glad I didn't spend $400 to meet (insert lots of names here)!"
Second, and here is where the "open mind" response above is so important -- I have met a handful of women at each party that I added to my bucket list that would never have made my screening through any search feature I could use on TER or P411. The "chemistry screen" simply doesn't exist on a computer screen, but it jumps at you in a social environment. I would say that the three M&Gs I have attended have created half of my bucket list over the last 24 months.
Finally, real conversations and education take place at the parties. I'm not particularly comfortable in party environments so have a tendency to plop down and let the party come to me. At all three parties, it did, and the conversations with several VERY nice women was worth the time and money without any other consideration. I have met some extraordinary women and learned some very interesting things about this "life" at these parties.
So, go with the expectation that that national Top Ten gal probably won't be there, and that the former playboy model with the 110 lb frame is now clearly using 10 year old pics, but that there will be 6-8 very nice women in attendance that really float your boat intellectually, physically or with whom the chemistry is palpable. That's been my experience. I will keep attending when I can.
