I'm thinking about hosting a M&G in the San Fernando area of LA within the next 2-3 weeks. Any tips, suggestions, and thoughts from those of you that have already hosted a M&G? Thanks for you help in advance.

pick a place that has a great atmosphere.  Post that you are having the M&G about a month in advance to determine interest.  Inquire at the location about their ability accomodate the number of guests you think will attend.  Should have great drinks - reasonably priced  - with good food!  have a cocktail hour (or 2) before dinner... count on spending about 4-6 hours at this event!  End of the evening - tally up the tab.... and the gents chip in and pay for the ladies.  Oh, in the invites make sure that you tell the gents that they are to pay for themselves and the ladies!  

Alternatively, rent a suite...   and invite who you wish - have h'ore doerves... with drinks...

these are fun and I never fail to enjoy myself... it is intersting to meet providers "away from the job"!  way sexy!  good luck

If you've never done it before, start with a happy hour and have everyone pay their own way.

Keep the location a secret until you know who is coming and only give it out to them by email or PM. If you post it on the boards people get a little leary and nervous about unwanted people showing up and few people will actually come.
