I understand all (or most) regions have a M&G coordinator. Is there one for Boston?  If there isn't one, who gets to anoint a new coordinator?  Inquiring minds want to know.

I guess the Boston M&G coordinator is "capedude".

No offense, but the job was already filled and the MnG was last month.

No, I wasn't but I would like to know why you're "just interested to know."

Don't believe everything you see, hear or read.  Don't make assumptions and don't make public statements based on rumors or gossip.

Here is the thread you're paraphrasing:  http://www.theeroticreview.com/discussion_boards/viewAll.asp?BoardID=9&Page=2&Messageid=73947

And this thread may explain your motivations:    http://www.theeroticreview.com/discussion_boards/viewmsg.asp?BoardID=9&SortBy=DateCreated%20desc&SearchType=1&Author=katespinner&DayFrom=30&DayTo=0&MessageID=73578&frmSearch=1

Why is this such a difficult question?
Knowing katespinner "may explain your motivations"?  No conspiracy, although I do know her.  Also, I haven't made "public statements based on rumors or gossip".  Since you responded "...the job was already filled...", I made the (apparently errorneous) assumption you were the man! If you are not the Boston MnG coordinator, who is?  Again, why is this such a difficult question?

Don't tell me, you're that busy.  I asked you to email me for the info you're requesting and yet you don't bother.  You said you were curious to know, yet I offer to tell you and you don't respond.

So now tell me why you want to know, for real.

I'm not sure I'll do that again!

However, I think the coordinator is specific to the planned M&G.  It's not a lifetime position, nor is it exclusive.

Why don't you, OldRedNose, as self-appointed Coordinator of the next Boston M&G, plan your own, and I may come to it, if invited!!  Maybe.

After driving across the country for several days to get to him.  I am physically recovering from all of this right now, and from learning some new activities, but playing dunking  at  meet and greet when I know most people in Boston is just not high on my priorities!!! Most people in Boston are great.  But wait must go, a stranger is flashing me (no not a prelude to a session.)  Yup, you are right I am thinking about you, ok....you caught me.  I want you BADLY.

That was just to reference the Pousette-Dart Band's song which was a favorite of mine for reason unrelated to drinking.

Being fifth generation Irish American, i don't kid about my drinking.  Although for the record, I was not  a sloppy drunk, just a little more happy than I usually am.

I can also assure you that you don't want me badly, even if you got drunk!  I think I will go to my grave without ever having anyone wanting me BADLY.

So, my suggestion to you and OldRedEye, put on VanMorrison & chill over "Tupelo Honey", another one of my favorites.

Good Day & Take Care.

While capedude offered to Email me an explaination, neither he nor anyone has ever given me an answer.
Why is this such a difficult question?

Perhaps because there isn't a coordinator for Beantown. You sound like a broken record:-( Why don't you stop asking this dumb question and volunteer for the job? That's how it is done everywhere else! No one is paid (including Mods).

Well I was wondering if any one can volunter for the jod.Or are newbies not allowed to do that?

I asked you to email me a week ago, you didn't bother.  So how could I give you an answer.

Apparently a private answer doesn't meet your odd agenda, so please take Polecat's advice and either STFU or host your own party.

Is it a challenge to gather valuable information in Boston? Maybe. I see that you have been using the services of what very well may be a fine, established agency. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the agencies refrain from attending the Meet & Greets. And believe me, they are invited. This is not an endorsements for Indies however many of these ladies attend and thus may be a valuable resource to get your answers. I do know that all the guys are screened before they receive an invite like any other appointment and many hobbyists learn of such an event after meeting somebody that attends. Does that help?

I wanted an answer to my question but also some discussion. Thank you all for your replies.

capedude: sent Email on 5/17 and again on 5/23 to (Personal information edited. Send him a PM.) but got no reply.

slyderluvs: the background you supplied goes a long way toward understanding why MnG's on Boston are more circumspect than in some other cities.

Thanks again.

While a lot of things have changed, and it a great city and area to live and play in, it still can be incredibly puritanical in its view, particularly with the elected officials.  (ie., If all else fails, arrest a few people to show that you're keeping the streets safe.)

If it appears to be more circumspect here than other places, then perhaps its because there are still some Puritans out there.  They may vote the Democrats ticket, but they are still Puritanical in their view of the hobby.

(I know, I know, why bother?  I couldn't help myself.  I just had to get the last post in.    PD)
