There is an upcoming M & G in DC soon. However, we no longer advertise anything here about our parties. Why?
Way too many "interested" people who were never serious to begin with wasted our time (for example: our screeners got extremely frustrated with people who were arguing about our requested screening information). We have removed many names from our invite list due to people who just "had to have an invitation" but never even bothered to respond to 3 of them in a row (a time span of almost a year).
We try to ensure everyone's safety and use a great deal of discretion when planning our parties. It seems that some people just want to show up without being screened. That may work in some areas, but not here in DC. We screen not only for safety, but also for integrity. That is why we ask for and always check references. If we don't hear back from your references, we do not offer an invitation. Period. No exceptions.
We fully recognize that by not advertising the parties here, we are possibly missing out on adding some really good people. But our guest list is still growing thanks to the referrals we get from our current partygoers. What they say is definitely true, word of mouth advertising is the best.
