What novel, movie, poem, play would you want to appear in if a magician could put you in it?

For sheer enjoyment, The Return of Sherlock Holmes, and I'd want to be Watson

I enjoyed it. I'm thinking about my favorite novel. I'd like to be Gatsby, knowing of course, how it ends. I'd ditch BSC Daisy, take a run at Jordan, then use the stupendous fortune for some major league NYC hobbying.
