Luis Bunuel's 1968 film has been restored and re-released.   I just saw it today, and have mixed feelings about it.

It is about a very wealthy high class Parisian wife who is sexually unable to perform with her doting but always busy husband.   To satisfy her urges, and because she has fantasies of being sexually fufilled only by those her abuse her, she becomes a high class hooker at a  brothel.   Hilarity ensues (NOT)

While the message of the film seems to cater to the "They only become hookers because they're crazy." crowd, there is no disputing the fine acting, especially by Catherine Denue in her breakout role, or the fine directing.

See the film and see if it rings a bell.   (If you catch my drift.)
