Massage Parlors

Do you like feet?.....

was the question put to me when I laid down on the table at my fav AMP recently.   My regular provider was off visiting family in China, and so I was with a gal I had not seen before.   Of course, I assumed that she was referring to MY feet, and being a big fan of foot massage, gave an unwavering "yes" to her inquiry.

However, she then proceeded to stand up on the table and grasp a hand rail that I had not paid much attention to in the past and proceeded to march back and forth upon my spine.

I had only had this procedure once before at a spa in mid-town Manhattan, at which I would have gladly revealed every military secret I know to her (had I know any, that is.)

In this case however, the experience was a bit more genteel, and I was able to bear it nobly, at least for about 3-4 minutes before I cried uncle.

So, the moral of the story is:   If ever you hear the above question, inquire as to whose feet she is referring to.

That happened to me once years ago at an AMP. I recall it felt pretty good. But I like firm pressure. My long-time therapist used to dig her knees into my back, but after two kids and ten years she isn’t as petite as she used to be.

Similar experiences for me. In some of the renovated space AMPs, there were exposed sprinkler pipes (minimum requirement to meet code) that a hostess could use to help with her balancing act.
.
Unless she is a real flyweight or less, be careful! I have heard stories of serious back injuries resulting from uninformed stomping. In college, some of the cheerleaders or girl friends would walk on the athletes' backs as a form of massage; not all of them (the athletes) enjoyed it.

Those exposed sprinkler pipes would be another reason to be careful.

Unless you're up for a whole new kind of table shower.

Had this at an AMP in SF years ago and it was terrific. Remember, the handrails permit the masseuse to do certain other things when the client turns over.

Jimmy Kimmel recently (April 16? 17? 2023) did a comedy monolog and mentioned the relatively high popularity of the website wikifeet.

I was not asked first, she just climbed up on the table and started walking. It was kind of enjoyable actually, apart from having to reassure myself a couple of times that, no, I am probably not going to die here.
