Where Are All the Massage Lovers At?confused_smile

I've been working in the DC Area for about 1.5 and I've seen a recent decline in interest in Massage Therapy and I not sure what's going on. Now I know that GFE will always out sell massage any day but I can't understand why massage has become less appreciated and even then so. Why customers seem to be unaware of all the physical and mental benefits that comes with it.

I am a professionally trained provider unlike most of the ladies who are in the business who wouldn't know your tensor fasia late from your plantaris. I love the art of massage I love giving it and recieving it.  Im begining to think that some of these so called parlors and indy's have given the art a bad name. So when a hobbyist actually recieve a real massage they can't appreciate it.

Now I not posting up here to rant or hate on anyone but I just want to say that the art of massage is still practiced by a few. As for the others I encourage them to step up there game. It should be a providers duty not to only satisfy a hobbyist sensually but physically as well and if any hobbyist out there are settling for less than let me be the first to apologize to you on thier behalf.

I love massage and almost never go for anything else. The only thing I can suggest is "How's your pricing?" There will always be a set of clients who feel that massage (assuming you are not a FS provider) should be priced lower than FS. The recession just amplifies the issue for those that are price sensitive.

If you are a FS sensual massage provider, forget what I said!

Most high end spas with no extras charge as much as FS
even chiropractic clinics bill your insurance company up to 200. I've been a licensed massage therapist for a long time before I even began being a provider.

In my area there's so many stings rip offs and DIY that I think perhaps that may have turned gentlemen off :(

Thank you. I agree with exactly what you have said. I'm a LMT as well and not only cater to FBSM but I also work in a traditional spa setting. As a Massage Therapist I make 65 an hour plus tips so I'll usually make about 75 hour. My spa will charge the customer at least 140 hour.  Thats with nothing topless, no dirty talk, and definitely no happy strokes.

When it comes to FBSM I charge 100 half and 160 for the whole. Pretty cheap considering what you would pay if you where to got to a spa and you probably wouldn't get half that much.

I think you absolutely correct it's the DIY, stings, and rip offs have swayed the new clientele from even attempting.

I'm a long time Therapuetic and FBSM man almost to fetish level in that order.    Pricing does factor into the equation for the casual FBSM customer.  Unlike me, the OP and an additional small majority I LOVE FBSM because of the combo Therapuetic (TM)  and Sensual (FBSM) aspects.  Hence, I dont mind paying 180 - 250 for a 90 min mutual FBSM session with a HE.  Most guys will weigh this out in their mind and look at it as a glorified HJ not worth that pricing.  Granted, I need a true, at least, 50/50 split in expertise between the TM and FBSM.  Hence, I prefer the provider to be a CMT.

With that as the backdrop, most guys, I would try a well educated guess from my years of hobbying experience, conclude and weigh the benefits of a FBSM vs FS and will choose FS the majority of time.  Since most providers are not really skilled at TM the focus is on the sensual aspects of the massage and NOT the TM.  Most guys will walk away from that thinking "....wow, I coulda had a V8."  For an additional $50 - $75 I coulda searched BP and had FS sex for $200.  How do I know, I've thought the same on several occassions.  Overall, more guys appreciate the option of having full-on sex with a lady for their money versus, in their mind, a glorified HJ for almost the same price of intercourse.  Guys like me who really realish the 90 min combo of TM and Sensual are rare.  Hell, if the lady is really good at the TM the sensual part is merely icing on the cake for me.  Where for most guys it's the other way around.  I'm a former Divsion 1 college level athlete and realized and recognized the benefits of TM in my early 20's and this is before I knew their were "combo" alternatives available.

Additionally, most SPA experiences are more than just the massage.  When I go to the spa it's a half day event.  I get in the steam room, sit in the jacuzzi, watch some TV, sip on some juices, AND then get a massage with no extras.  Also, The SPA also has waaaaay more overhead than an independent massues TM or FBSM service.

Finally, the economy is definantly playing role.  I've seen a significant increase BP ADs along with guys using cheaper alternatives (i.e. AMPS) for their paid sexual adventures.  So when a guy wants to have an orgasm he is more oftern than not choose the traditional means for his money.

keep your regulars and offer things other massage ladies who may be seeking the same clientele as you are not (and i don't mean services necessarily).

IMO the problem lies in the service. If I am looking for a nice time with a lady I nstay with a ter provider. But for those of us who like massage it is becoming a lost art. In a typical MP setting the girl comes in asks what you want .....  and sends you on you way. I tell you the tease, the sensual touch and a good massage is just way better than a quick bang bang. I recently had a massage at a mp where the lady had average but not great reviews. The massage was as good as any Spa! then slowly became more sensual. The tease was fantastic and I left happy ;)  But the reason for the poor reviews is that sex was not an option, she kept her cloths on and was just average looking. But for me this is what I look for in a MASSAGE parlor!

I am sure it is just a different strokes thing but if a mp thinks they are going to compete with a provider they will loose. now i am going out on a limb here but i do not expect to pay the same for a FBSM than a FS provider. And while providers may do massage they do not advertise that as a separate less expensive service.

Its not the indys that give it a bad name it is the hobby that wants to group everyone into the same category!

I have some recent massage reviews posted.
I love the convenience of having many spots so close to my area and being able to relax and enjoy the sensations. I don't have to do anything.
Just enjoy the pleasures of the body shower. Then the gentle massage.
Then things getting to a volcanic level of pleasure.
I cum hardest from massages.

at least once a week and notice that ladies are doing a lot of things differently to get business in these tough times. let me share them with you and it could help.

1. Offering discounts during non-peak hours (early mornings or beween 2 pm and 4 pm when the lunch crowd is done with)
2. Giving extra time
3. Discounts to regulars
4. multiple cups
5. Monthly schemes. First massage of the month at regular rate and progressive discounts for the others during the month

In these tough times people seek more or same for less. From my experience, ladies that offer them continue to get business and those that don't see volume fall. Of course all this works only if the lady offers top notch service in the first place.

it's better than falling revenue though. remember a majority of people as seeing their incomes disappear or shrink. Some are working longer hours just to maintain what they have...kinda doing their own "special"

To expect more revenue in a shrinking economy is fine only if one can offer path breaking products like Apple's iPhone or iPad.

Fbsm ladies are better than iPhones and stuff like that.plus we're a lot more affordable if they start giving out bj's and massages then I will personally see that they all are destroyed lol

LOL...good one.
I only meant that to stay ahead in slow economy businesses either cut prices or innovate outstanding products to charge the same or higher prices. That's where the iPhone example came from. It changed the game in the cell phone market.

Of course massages are more fun than iphones
