Massage Parlors

Current State of AMP

I know this message board is not just for the AMP (A standing for Asian) and also that it's not regionally focused, so I just thought I'd try to contribute with a reasonable "state of AMP" topic.

As far as I know, the best places for AMPs with younger (it's all relative... there's a reason that the rule of thumb add 10 years to what you think she looks like applies for an AMP), Korean (usually the most common ethnicity found at MPs) girls who provide FS were pretty much on the west and east coasts.

LA and the Bay Area were pretty nice, but I believe most of the "higher quality" providers now work out of incall locations that they call AAMPs, (Apartment AMP).

The NY area, as far as I know, the most popular and "high quality" places are called KMPs (K standing for Korean), and some operate out of private residences while some out operate out of commercial locations, and they generally tend to have web-sites that advertise the pictures of the girls.

The DC area has recently been completely shutdown.

As you can see, the state of the AMP as we know it is not good.  The "best" AMP locations, as far as I know are:

1. Providence, Rhode Island
2. Atlanta, Georgia

I have never been to either, but judging from what I've gathered, these are places that you can find FS with "younger" providers that provide traditional lineups and whatnot.

I know not everyone looks for FS, and not everyone looks for "younger" providers, and in fact some appreciate a good massage from a 50 year old therapist who provides a HJ at the end, and she doesn't even have to be Asian.

But I think in general, when most people in this hobby think of massage parlor, what they're thinking about it is what's pretty much dead everywhere else besides the two locations I mentioned.

But the last time I checked, they were long gone.

They were a bit seedy around the edges, but my God, how great those gals were, and super affordable too.

I honestly don't know of any place with great AMPs now.  I had used several around Connecticut but they are all pretty much gone now.

Yeah, the LA/Orange County scene seems alive and well. There's one extremely famous OC institution that I'm amazed hasn't been shut down yet. Well, it wasn't shut down the last time I was there in December. I stopped visiting though.

Something about the unknowns in an AMP just made me uneasy about going to them. I'm also not a huge fan of the AAMPs and prefer the local indies. But, when you're in a rush, don't have references lined up, you really can't go wrong if you know the AMP you're going to. The real trick is knowing whether or not you're walking into a legit, unlicensed AMP, or if you're walking into a legit MP, or you're walking into a FS AMP.

Before I settled on my favorite AMP, I hit up a few places that turned out to only do legit massage but were unlicensed; those really sucked. I will occasionally hit up an AMP, but it's not FS and just gives an HJ at the end of a really, really good therapeutic massage. The two old ladies(50ish Vietnamese) that always work there really take the whole operation seriously.

TER doesn't seem like the place to find out about AMPs, and I'm not too upset about that. I like the more upscale vibe I get on TER compared to the other "Review" website I used to use.

Once Atlanta was a great place for AMPs - several nice choices and very nice looking young K girls available if the mama-san (or pappa-san in one case) knew you and knew that you tipped well.  There was so much good competition that I actually got a card from one - get 10 massages and there was a discount for the 11th (filled mine out and even started a second card!).  However, the county south of the airport where many good ones were located conducted raids back around 2007 or 2008 and shut them all down.  The city and north of the city was not a hot-bed of AMP activity but there were a few good ones in these areas too.  Most of those have shut or are of questionable reliability for getting what you want.  I too miss the old days of great AMPs in Atlanta.
