I would have done the same...as better to be safe than sorry. We need to hang out sometime when you're in New England. I'm currently working on plans to travel outside New England this fall, I'm extremely familiar with Baltimore, Philly, DC, and NOVA...though, I've never provided in those areas.
I've ditched plans to provide when I am led to believe it simply might not be worth it, it's my safety and those I might see which are more important. Nice to see you're enjoying yourself and enjoying a great place as a tourist. Inner harbor is awesome. Good for you!
There are a lot of nice things about the Inner Harbor/downtown area, but I would much rather visit a provider in the airport area. Easier to get there, free parking, etc. Plus you will be able to get a nice room for less money than the harbor area.
I've decided to spend the first part at BWI & couple more down by the harbor... I tried to change my RSVP for today's arrival at BWI hotel but they wouldn't let me so BWI ... Planning ahead sometimes doesn't work... Lol. But can't wait & thank you to all of you whom responded..
I also got responses stating BWI is LE infested... Oh blllaaahhhh... Screening will be on "Code Red" for me... Lol
Given your price point and level of service you would probably do better in Inner Harbor or Inner Harbor East. The airport is more about the relative convenience of travel for residents in the counties. So that customer would be focused on get in and getting out, so to speak. And that's why there are girls there offering 30 or 15 minute dates. The greater concentration of high salary earners in the city, whether they work or live there, would make them less sensitive to price.
