Nuisance-abatement prosecution:  A motel in Silver Spring had become a haven for drug sales, prostitution, assaults, and disorderly conduct.  xxxxx xxxx worked with the motel’s management and attorney to upgrade its security.  The motel management upgraded its lighting, hired a new security company to patrol the premises, and began meeting monthly with MCPD and SAO. It now requires parking passes on all vehicles in its lot and sends MCPD credit-card information on local guests.  Had the motel not complied, xxxxx could have filed a Nuisance Abatement Complaint.  Under Maryland law, the State’s Attorney’s Office can file such a complaint against a commercial property that is the site of frequent drug-related crime.  A District Court judge may order the property seized

This is happening all over the state of Maryland. The hotel can report a provider and she can get charges later on after LE tracks her down. This has happened in another county in the Maryland suburbs. That is all I can saw about it.

Or dozens of other LE affiliates, prosecutors, movie stars, broadcasters, sports figures, comedians, etc, etc.

If it makes you feel better, I will change her first name to Merrill :)

No harm, no foul.

None of the names in the article are of gents or providers who have been arrested but of community prosecutors. I don't see how their names listed in the article or post will endanger them in any way as they live public lives.

There is enough context and background info to allow the name of the hotel.

In other words, stay away from there!

I thought the police had to have probable cause to gather infromation suchas credit cards, phone numbers, ect. Secondly, a private firm can't surrender information to LE without a search or arrest warrant.

The hotel was known for a place of drugs and prostitution. The state was going to shut it down. To keep the business license and to keep operating it had to agree to:
1. Have security at the hotel.
2. Send information of local guest to LE.
