Sigh... Why Hobbying Works...sad_smile

A number of you might remember me from my younger, wilder days.

Well, I've been largely off the grid, limiting my hobbying to my travels and generally playing here with a few well-placed FWBs or UTR providers.

I had narrowed that list, really, to one woman with whom I had a lot of synergy (and I mean it in that sense)... our kinks were the same, our drives were the same.

Except she is supremely unreliable.  SUPREMELY unreliable.  I won't go into details, but once again I find myself with a rearranged schedule for an early start to the weekend, and nobody to spend it with!

When I was really hobbying, I had developed wonderful friendships with a number of PROFESSIONAL women.  The best of all possible collegial relationships - people interested in developing a rapport that could create a lasting, mutually-beneficial series of experiences.

Which is why hobbying works.

So, here I am, ready to enter the TER fray again.  I know at least one long-time friend I'm going to call... but if anyone wants to get a hold of me, to confirm my faith in this realization, I am all ears (well, not ALL ears)...

And thank you all for letting me vent for a moment.

I wholeheartedly agree.  A genuine connection is what I look for in a suitor.
Perhaps we may build a lasting rapport.

While there are many men and women among us who are quite reliable, some do lack the basic qualities of reliability and keeping to commitments. After a couple of false starts down this same road, I did connect with a young non pro woman who is everything I'm looking for in a long term relationship. They are indeed hard to find, and precious to hold onto.

With that said, dabbling in the hobby every now and then keeps things exciting and fresh... And allowing greater appreciation of what we seek and what we have.

Good luck in YOUR quest!
