Here is a question from somewhat of a Newbie, I'm posting this here because i'm looking for an experienced answer.  How much screening would be necessary for a lunch/dinner only date, and would this be an acceptable way to meet.  Ladies please chime in with your opinions..  Thanks

...begin with an introduction over lunch, or a cocktail, but my screening process remains the same.  I still must know whom I am visiting with/meeting.

Thanks Cayden  :)

If the gent didn't have a reference then I would need his name and employer information for screening.  But if the gent tried to use me as a reference after that I would have to tell the lady that inquired that we met for only a lunch/dinner date.

So would this be an appropriate way to meet at first, for a possible second meeting, if someone lacked personal references?  Secondly would you be OK with this approach, with employment verification?  Thanks

Good info Cayden. I actually did not think I should screen the gent if we were just going to have dinner. Thanks for giving me something to consider.

Yes, that would work for me.  I don't often just screen with just employment verification but I would feel more comfortable with an initial meeting over lunch/dinner/drinks (whatever) to meet a 2nd time.

I wouldn't even go on a "civvie" or "IRL" date without screening lol. I would screen in or out of the hobby, even just for drinks.
