The audacity some ppl have to actually try to hurt others businesses because they decided to cancel last minute and see a different provider then post negatively about the provider on private boards because I told the guy I had to report the incident. Unbelievable! It’s clearly printed on my website I have 0 tolerance for ppl who cancel last minute. Anybody else have this problem with guys in the area? I think it’s crazy that people get so caught up in this to where they would choose to try to hurt others merely to satisfy some weird urge for vengeance.

I guess I don’t get any points for forewarning him what actions I take for matters such as these. 1.5 hrs before is a s***y move. I’m sorry. I had another client he would have loved that time slot that I ended up missing out on completely because he left town this morning.

It's not infrequent for providers to cancel at the last minute. It happens to me several times per year, but I've never done that to a provider.

It wasn't Anya who stood me up.

I didn't think that we were allowed to use the C word.  Maybe it is only prohibited in reviews.lol

It happens on both ends no matter how much you plan or state your policy. When it comes to newbies or someone  you have not meet before try asking for a paypal deposit etc. to cover costs  if they cancel before you set the date.... I do or I pass.

At the end of the day it's busness , it happens , it will happen again , at least they call vs no show,  I'm in a business where it also happens , because I serve the public , I accept , I thank them for thinking of me and hope to take their money another day and move on !

He wasn’t a newbie. He literally canceled to see another provider. Anytime I’ve ever canceled last minute I had a good excuse.

He didn’t call I actually had to contact him for the cancelation. Crazy... anytime I’ve done this was because I was sick or lacked sleep... something along these lines.

I didn't cancel on Anya, either. In fact, I've never booked an appointment with her.

This topic is all over the General Board, with all the reasons to NEVER leave a deposit (money that is)

Karma payback here perhaps?

Please speak for yourself.

People who book with reputable providers and actually intend to see them can, will, and do leave deposits.

Any provider who is trustworthy and professional will care enough about their reputation to not run away with a deposit and have fair terms regarding the deposit and how long it is good for if you need to cancel and reschedule.
Furthermore, most providers will *want* to see you so that they can get the other unpaid portion of the appointment fee.

If you do not want to pay deposits to see providers, that is okay and totally your business + prerogative. You can just say “I personally do not believe there are any good reasons to pay deposits to providers”
But using the overly negative language and bullying tactics to actively discourage other people from abiding by reasonable booking guidelines set by established providers who they want to see, further instigating the client vs provider dynamic as if we are all greedy women who will run away with your money at first opportunity, is completely unnecessary.

Guys get ripped off all the time paying deposits to "business people" of any type, being robbed by providers is well documented on these very boards.

Disagreeing with you is not "overly aggressive language", you just don't like being disagreed with.  Get over it.

Only chumps pay deposits, guys with sense avoid those ladies like the plague, again for well documented reasons - maybe due to a few bad apples but it is what it is.  There are PLENTY of the very best ladies who are confident enough to not need to ask.

I will use the language that I please, thank you.  Spare me the "further instigating the client vs provider dynamic" gibberish! ;).

All the best.

Anya, you’ve always been considerate of my schedule requests and honest about when you could or could not meet with me. Yes, this happens but if he cancelled last minute in order to see someone else-shame on him. For the record HE MISSED OUT!

As I have said the only time I cancel last minute is due to illness usually. Those who know me know I have GI problems that cause an enormous amount of pain. I don’t cancel on clients to see other clients.

Thank you sweetie. I do try very hard not to cancel and to be clear and concise when communicating and scheduling with clients so there is not any confusion. I admit that my life is super busy (hence I only jump on ter once or twice a week), I have a career, friends, family and I travel a lot!, but I try to be sure to look at my emails every few hours and get back to people with clear plans about my schedule. I am not the provider to engage in friendly banter very often at all and I am also not an excessive emailer. I email when I have time to and that is that.

We can all agree that getting cancelled on sucks. In this case, it is obvious that it was done with no regard to courtesy. There are lots of good reasons that people cancel on both sides of the fence. It does not hurt any less, from a monetary or a feelings side.

I have been cancelled on recently by an unnamed visiting provider within an hour and a half of my appointment. Seeing I was driving in rush hour traffic around the beltway on my way to the session, I did not see the email of cancellation. So for my taking off a vacation day from work (I get 10 days a year), showering/shaving got all gussied up, took a $25 viagra pill on the way to session, only to find out I was cancelled on upon arriving at hotel and asking for room number. I got the feeling that either some regular previous client extended his time into my appt or someone asked for a mulit-hour appt that was going to gain her more money than I was.  Now will I or should I book her again?

Another pet peeve of mine is deposits. I have been burned by this and would avoid anyone who requires it. In my case I had seen the escort many times for over a year. She asked for and was given a deposit for future sessions. She said she needed the cash advance to fix her car. That it would be repaid or deducted from session time.  Then promptly quit the business and never heard from again.

So live an learn, move on with your life and expect speed bumps. The object is to get over them without braeaking any parts.

I was just cancelled on after I confirmed 1hr before. Shit happens and I've learned over the years not to get pissed. I've cancelled at the last minute a few times, mainly if I see unmarked cop cars in the parking lot and my spidey sense says not today.  I've cancelled when I've seen people who know me.
