Protocol questions

So, there is a provider touring the area this week who apparently has no interest in keeping appointments. My history with this particular provider is as follows: a few months back she advertises a tour, so I book with her. Night before said appt, I have to ask her for details b/c she hadn't conveyed any. Response I get back was that she wasn't even in town due to a family emergency. Found it odd she didn't let me know that before, but I shrugged it off.

Fast forward to this week. I see her as saying she'll be here all week, even references her cancelled trip from before. I reach out via P411, get an appointment for yesterday. She confirms it, says she'll let me know location via email before the date in question. As expected, she never did. I write her back to find out what happened, she says she was confused about whether we had an appt or not because I didn't provide an email address. I pointed out that she could have written me back via P411 (not to mention my email addy is right there on my profile). After some back and forth, we reschedule for this morning. I get the location and her phone number, tell her I'll text her when I'm on the way and when I get there, and give her my number. This morning rolls around, I text as I'm on my way... No response. Text when I get there....no response. One more text after 10 minutes of waiting... No response, and I leave after 15 minutes.

So, here are my questions: first, did I act appropriately? I'm actually pretty ok with this one, because I think the circumstances warranted it. Second, should I out this provider to the board? I'm not normally one to do such a thing, but given this history and her continued posting of ads, I think the local hobbyists might want a heads up. Let me know...

experience. First, I never drive anywhere without a confirmation from a provider. That is, if she doesn't pick up or respond that it is okay for me to drive off to see at the moment, then, I will not drive there. It's no point IMO.

You should out her in the RO board to let other hobbyist know. We definitely do not want to waste our time or have our time wasted.

So, the provider did eventually text me an hour and half later, and rather curtly complained that I didn't call her. Incredibly odd, since we agreed on the two text format I described. Besides, if she wasn't responding to a text, why would she answer a phone call? Somewhat ridiculous if you ask me.  My guess is she overslept or something.  Whatever...I'm moving on.  I'd post her info on the RO board as suggested by MrObvious, but I don't have access to it.  If hobbyists want to know who she is, respond here and I'll PM you.  As it is, her tour is ending soon, so I doubt she'll have many more takers.

without giving the name of the provider in question?  Your post does nothing to inform fellow hobbyists unless you tell us who she is.  And how the hell are we supposed to PM you when it appears like you are not a member who can take PM's?

Your tale is worthless unless you disclose a name.

...do not accommodate text, only voice.  I've been surprised by that one.  That may have been the case and she may not have been aware.  But otherwise, presuming your story is accurate, her communications are clearly unprofessional.
