If every provider wants/requires references how does someone like myself (newbie) get a provider to accept my requests?  

I've tried 3 providers and they responded right away and even setup times but never confirmed on the day of with the address.  

What am I doing wrong?

That said, you're here now and asking.  

Be aware that there is a difference between "I need a reference to book an appointment", which is tough to do when starting out, and "I will book an appointment, but flake out when it comes time to follow through".  It sounds like you've actually been bitten by the second situation.

Not knowing the ladies in question and the situation, I'd hesitate to offer anything specific.  I will say that it's a bad idea to get over-eager, and it can happen that you might creep someone out, or make warning flags go up somehow.  Don't get overly explicit in your initial email, and don't try to book too far in advance.  Have you been able to follow up with any of the ladies to find out what happened?

and dont be afraid to book same day... alot of the girls, if they arent the most professional, dont know what theyll be doing 2 hours from now let alone 2 or three days in advance and they probably get stood up alot by nervous guys...

I am trying to make sure I can get an appointment and trying to set something up a couple days ahead of time. Which from the sounds of it is part of the problem.  

I have not gone back to anyone that hasn't responded after my last text. I guess I need to contact the ladies the same day not too far in advance.

Booking a few days or even weeks in advance is *not* the problem. Most prefer or only allow 24-48 hours notice. However, if you don't have any references that is where you'll run into issues. Some ladies will screen via name/work info etc. but even that alone doesn't may not make every lady feel comfortable..You'll just need to feel it out. Good luck.
