On July 9, 2012, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Detectives from the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Special Enforcement Section Vice Unit conducted an undercover operation targeting prostitution around the Linthicum area hotels. The investigation was initiated in response to an online advertisement. As a result of the investigation, one individual was charged with Prostitution, Assignation, Setting up a House of Prostitution and Possession of Marijuana.
The chief just resigned over the sex and misuse of police resources by County Executive Leopold. Can you believe this guy was screwing a county employee while his security detail watched his back?
The police interviewed a client as he was leaving. The client confess to the police that he exchanged money for sex. The client let them know he got her ad from Backpage. The police got a search warrant and the lady was arrested. The client was let go . This news story can be googled ....

Its not a good time to hobby in BWI, Baltimore, or Anne Arundel County. Only stick to well reviewed providers or providers you've seen in the past. They are doing surveillance at BWI. They are cleaning up that area, and I"d stay far away from those areas for the time being. Look back within the past few weeks, there's a been LE busts, and more are likely to follow.
LE is taking the initiative to do their own stings, and you guys should definitely be aware of that. Their not sitting around anymore, and they are proactively scouting the ads for their bust. Do not hobby in BWI, Baltimore, or Anne Arundel County. LE is monitoring the ads 24 hours a day, and they are even active past midnight.
Not trying to scare you guys, but, they are serious and mean business. That is what happens when providers are careless and reckless, they attract unwanted attention.
There also running a sting today in mont. co.
"Possession of Marijuana and Prostitution"
Once again the harbinger of stupidity, "Drugs". My point being this is why you don't see providers who do drugs. If you go back and do a statistical analysis of a specific jurisdictions solicitation busts ( like I have the time this is why I pay people to do it ) you will find "Drugs" played a a key or minor roll more often than not.
My singular point, even when they are on the Marijuana maintenance program, their judgment is still impaired in some way shape and form. It's no secret I am vehemently anti-drug because it leads to stupidity and more often than not negative outcomes.
This is not to take away from the concept of one must exercise reasonable and rational caution. I'm merely adding to the discussion the postulate, those who partake of drugs and work within this industry are helping to make themselves, "low hanging fruit". In a sense such behavior changes your statistical "risk" into eventual a statistical certainty.
That's just my ruminations and I could be completely wrong.

Man arrested during Linthicum prostitution stakeout
LINTHICUM, Md. -
Detectives from Anne Arundel County police's Northern District P.A.C.T. Unit were conducting surveillance at a Linthicum motel before making one arrest.
It happened at the Motel 6 in the 5100 block of Raynor Avenue at 12:10 a.m. Saturday.
Police were on the stakeout after numerous complaints of possible drug and prostitution activity at the motel. During their investigation, detectives observed suspicious activity occurring in the parking lot.
When detectives approached the individuals involved, one person fled the area on foot and a foot pursuit ensued. Detectives watched the man discard a handgun from his waistband.
I'm familiar with the motel -- not from hobbying (I stayed there when I had, shall we say, some domestic difficulties). Typical surveillance friendly set up; enter room from sidewalk or balcony, fast food restaurants, lots of parking lots for police to sit and watch. Rooms are okay, but some are beat up. Not the classy places where I've met ladies. Police claim the proverbial "suspicious activity" -- without the statement I bet they have nothing. Sooooo, as always, STFU and be smart. The little extra money we pay for a quality lady and a nice hotel pales in the light of the cost of defense lawyers.
I have seen providers at that hotel several times. After seeing that article I will avoid. The last time I was there I noticed a pimp doing look out one of the stair cases. It was convenient to go to KFC after having a hot session with a provider.
I know you meant stakeout j/m around

Just stay away from BWI, Baltimore, and Anne Arundel County! They are doing surveillance there, and if you sit in the parking lot for a few minutes, they'll know. They'll know when you pull into the motels, and can identify your car and do survailance on you. Even if you just sit around for a few minutes, they'll know which room your going into. Like GreekRose mentioned, they'll confront you after you leave and question you.
Avoid BWI, Baltimore, and Anne Arundel County! Only stick to well reviewed providers and providers you've seen in the past.
Trust me I have been staying away from that area for a few months now, even with providers I have seen in the past.
I think the new casino has a lot to do with the uptick in LE.
