Just another rate conversation?

I'm not a rate whiner, Just a curious observer. I know my limit and I stay there. But, I'm only a year into it & I'm interested in trends. I've read all the discussions about how it is now compared to years past. This is more about the last few years.

So, is it just me or are we starting to see the beginnings of the market coming off its peak?

I track 8 agencies (mid-range (350-600, non-Asian)), and have noticed a few rates by at least 50.  1 booker told me it's slowing for new girls w/ no reviews that still expect 500+.  Other agencies are still pushing the rates up but aren't getting reviews.

Seems like cyclical market behavior.  Maybe it has finally set in for the consumer that it's time to reign in spending but some producers aren't recognizing it yet, while some are? Just musing. Wondering if anyone else is seeing the same.

This is a good time to take a course or work on a important certification.  It's a tell tell sign when you call and they always answer.  Then you find out via chit chat they they have a few regulars that seem them for all night ,that is keeping them in business.

I gotcha, but I'm not interested in driving rates down through inaction. Right now I'm more into comparison shopping. If there are several girls I'd like to see I'll pick the one that shows an understanding of competitive pricing, then tip bigger. The rate ends up being the same but a consumer with a 500 cap will generally feel better about paying 400 and tipping 100 than paying 500 & no tip.

Tipping is a rarity for me. I've been seeing a gal lately who's pretty "reasonable" at 340 and the last two times I saw her I have her 4 - she always spends extra time with me so I  felt it was the right thing to do. You'd think I gave her a 500 tip from her texts to me after I left.

Generally I stay below 500 and have a number of regulars I see at 400. Once in a while I'll splurge but if I see an a lady on Twitter, for instance, and look at her website and see 600+ my interest drops fast.

Can you clarify? I think you're missing a word or two.

For Indy’s I’m seeing 50+ looking for 500+

I’m seeing 600 as the get in price. One says you have to get the room and it doesn’t come off the top. Deposit included.

Agencies and R&T joints are the way to go. I’m not making double what I made ten years ago, I’m not paying double.

My take is that overall the $300 price point from about 2020 is not $400-$500, but starting to trend down.  Also, rarely do I find that a $500 provider does better than a $300 provider, mostly looks but without great services the great looks are quickly forgotten.
