Verification information

I recently tried to verify with a well known agency using this site and another well known verification site.  The agency then asked for a copy of my driver's license.

In the current environment, would you send someone a picture of copy of your license?

I mean no ill will and am not complaining about the agent.  I respect everyone's need for safety.  That said, I am concerned about sending something like this given I have other verification options.

Curious to your thoughts and experience.

Providers are getting tired of fake information and untruthful clients. Being raped, assaulted, robbed. If you don't have anything to worry, if you not going to hurt a provider why do you worry about.

Agencies & independent providers want a regular business, not drama with your wife.

I hope you don't think they are just going to tear up the copy of your driver's license. Sending them anything creates a paper trail. Why do they need it? If you have other ways of verification than give them that and that only. If they don't accept it........move on.

I will request a copy of a person’s drivers license after they’ve exhausted all other resources for verification or if they just prefer to send it to me to get screened quickly. I also let the person know that they can blur all details outside of the name, date of birth, issue and expiration dates.

However, I have multiple other methods of screening as well.

Just do whatever you’re comfortable with. If it’s beyond your comfort zone, respectfully decline and move on.
