Welcome to La. girl! When I first moved, I insisted on 2 things...bars on every damn window, and a garage to pull right into at night. Since I moved from Uptown to the lake, we barely have to lock our doors. Still, when I have to do an incall Uptown, I am packing lol.

That sucks, but I know what you are referring to. It is the same around here. Even when people are convicted to state prison many of their sentences are reduced. It can really make a normal citizen lose faith in the system and i feel it emboldens criminals due to the lack of real punishment.
