There are 3 primary areas you can stay in.....Downtown area of course will give you the best location for having fun outside of work, but some of the hotels require a room key for the elevators, so its not the best for hobbying.....The CBD area is good, but its not quite as close to the Quarter night life, but its still close enough.  Metairie area is great for hobbying, but its definately a cab ride to go have some fun uptown/downtown.

I would probably suggest the downtown area, but have some of the ladies PM you specific hotels that are good, and dont require a room key for the elevators.

Cheers

I would NOT recommend staying in the French Quarter - it's convenient for fun, but parking for clients is a pain - virtually no parking is available on the street.

I would recommend the JW Marriott on Canal St, or Loew's Hotel on Poydras St. (both are 4 star hotels).  The Hilton Riverside is also nice.  The Roosevelt Hotel is also a 4 star hotel (it used to be the Fairmont, prior to major rennovation). I haven't seen the rooms there since it became the Roosevelt. The Hyatt has just reopened after Hurricaine Katrina, so I haven't been there since it's reopened.  It was really nice before the storm, though.

I would NOT recommend the Ritz - rooms are small, and I think it's somewhat overrated.

Hope this is helpful.

Central Business District will always be my favorite area in New Orleans. Upper Class, perfect center location, walking distance from french quarter, trolley ride to the garden district. Most girls hostingin the CBD area are upscale due to the prices of the hotels. ;)
