Got a trip to NOLA planned the first week of March and I'm wondering if I'm missing something

I'm looking for a top tier friend to spend some time with, but is it possible that there is no one from NOLA on the top 100? Never been to NOLA as a hobbist, so I just assumed that this party city would be teeming with talent, but it looks almost as bleak as some Midwestern towns. I may have screwed up somewhere in my research to come up empty. Any locals with suggestions would be appreciated.
