Hi Kiddos.,  this is my first visit to New Orleans and was hoping to go to the best your city has to offer!  Any suggestions?

There are a ton of great eateries both Uptown and in Metairie too, so don't just think "downtown" lol

Impastato's and Carmine's are some of my ATFs, as well as Vincent's, Drago's, and Jaquimo's (sp).

Channing Tatum's new restaurant "Saints and Sinners" is also open, and though the food is not 5 star quality, it's a cool atmosphere. Dragos, for the best Charbroiled Oysters and Lobster anywhere, Myriel's, Commander's Palace, Antione's, Delmonicos, Restaurant August, Nola, too many to list lol.

I did French, Italian, and Seafood so if you want Mexican or Japanese, I am not big on those. A great Thai restaurant is right off of Vets in Metairie, by the T J Max, called Siamese Thai. The best pizza is found off of South Carrolton, "Louisiana Pizza Kitchen." Would not order anything other than pizza or salad, though lol.

The thing about New Orleans is finding that little spot off the beaten path, and making it your own. We have so many restaurants here and dozens more opening every day,  the most hidden and unheard of eateries, generally turn out to be the best

Oh gawwwdd I LOVE Cajun food!! My FAVORITE part about visiting has GOT to be the food! Yumm! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be visiting in June/July! In the meantime, back to my andouille sausage LOL.

some of the casual cajun places specializing in seafood are what New Orleans is all about.
