I fall in category 3 by the way. It is very surprising how many ladies will dump you once you reveal that you have herpes and they do not. I have given up on dating. Hobbying is the way to go!

I never reveal it to providers... I am talking about dating civies at one point it is a good idea to reveal but they dump you.. So that's why I stopped dating and only see providers.. And this lawsuit link is all the more reason. We all johns, and there no way the provider can take it to us. But likely they already have the disease. Am I right?

It is YOUR responsibility to tell ALL your partners, providers absolutely included, before any sexual activity, so they can decide for themselves whether or not to take the risk and see you.
Not doing so is terribly unethical, arguably sociopathic. If you keep knowledge of an INCURABLE disease from providers and knowingly expose them without their consent, you are putting not just their sexual and reproductive health at risk but are showing that you DO NOT CARE about their livelihoods whatsoever. Many women would quit escorting if they were diagnosed with herpes (some with few other options on the table)- how dare you undermine their ability to provide for themselves and their families.

Post like this are the direct reason I have curtailed my 'hobbying' , even with all time favs. I'm bug free, and get checked regularly, but I figure I been playing Russian Roulette in terms of catching something. The fear waking up one morning with a hanker on lip, after 12 yrs of marriage, and trying to explain it, has just knocked the enjoyment out of it. Plus to pass something to an innocent party, like my significant other, would be too much to bare.

Yeah, that would be my category. Sex addict? Sure, that label fits too. Love sex with civvies. Love sex with providers. Just love sex, period.
There is one big difference, in my experience: most providers are light-years better in bed than most civvies, which is probably why I keep hobbying. The best civvie I've ever had would be just slightly above average in the pro game.
Your an a hole unless you tell the girls that you have an issue and it also effects the rest of us who hobby, we get tested regularly, just finished my last negative test. Most people who would test positive for something would refrain if they had a conscience and help protect the girls who have there whole lifes ahead of them (since most are in their early 20's). And also think about the other hobbyist, but I would assume that we have quite a bit of selfish and self centered hoggyist's who only consider their own needs and no one eleses. I don't fall into any of the three categories in all ways.
I'm middle-aged but not married. I have lots of sex with civvies and providers, and a lot of why I choose to see a provider comes down to simple convenience and the fact that I can afford it. I'm not butt-ugly but far from a model, but I get laid plenty.
And I don't have any diseases.
It was only an option for the A-hole with the A-lias.

I read that virtually all the actors in porn have herpes. dont know what the percentage in providers is. 70% of people with herpes dont have symptoms and have no way of knowing unless they get a blood test. Herpes can shed even when there are no symptoms. The good news is that with condom use a man has a 2% probability of conrtacting it over the course of a year assuming he has sex twice a week.
