Hello Folks,

I am in the process of getting ready to host along with Kate Oconner, another LA Meet and Greet.  Most likely in late March.

However, I am having trouble finding a suitable venue.  The ones I have used in the past are no longer available (they closed).  I am working on 2 others, but nothing yet.

So, with the above being said, I am asking your help in helping locate a suitable venue.

Here are the requirements:

Able to support a group of up to 150 people
Privacy is paramount
Full bar
Food offered
Parking Available
Minimum at 2K or under
Los Angeles area (Downtown, Hollywood, or Valley preferable, but not required)

If I can't get a venue soon, then I will not commit to hosting the event.

Thanks for your help

Bond

only lets you know the location days before the event! And I might add he screens very well so I really don't think we would have anything to worry about!  Also I didn't know what would be  illegal about people having a few drinks and getting to know one another! I've been to a few M & G's and haven't seen anything that someone would need to worry about if the cops were there!

I'm thinking of a place in the Valley, up in the hills, that has private rooms, plenty of parking and is kinda hard to find -- so I am assuming privacy is good. No one would just stumble upon this place. I'll PM you since I figure you don't want to broadcast venue names.

Long beach at a pretty nice place. and it was great.they have an entire upstairs seperated from the resturant available for events and can definetly accomidate upwards of 150 people.the private room is on the second floor, so as you enter, the stairs directly to your left as you come in so it would be great for privacy. .thay also had 2 bars and food to the one i went too.I can ask the person who through the last event I can email  you more info and how much it cost them if your interested!
I think long beach would be more conveinant for everyone coming from orange county and san diego too:)

mob funerals? Nothing illegal happening there either. Just a lot of good intel.

I, for one, would prefer to keep the eventual location super-secret until the very last second, then do a pat-down search of everyone who shows up. I will even volunteer to search the ladies myself!  ;)

agree with you that keeping the location very private but the more important thing is that Bond has to approve you before you can get on the invite list! For the Guy’s that means you have to have done reviews and for the ladies you have to have been reviewed! The last mob funeral I was at there was no invite list or anyone approving you before you can attend! Geez dude get real and comparing the 2 are so different and if you can’t see that then maybe you shouldn’t attend the Meet & Greets!

Bond does a fantastic job in screening and if the cop or FBI gets past him then I would like to buy them a drink! LOL

This has been brought up in the past.  For a lot of guys (especially the married ones), getting out on a Friday or a weekend is difficult.  And the availability of venues are less and it costs more.

Nobody is stopping anybody from doing a M and G on any day or time during the week.  If you want to try, have had it.  Some folks will show up.  But after doing a few of these, I think I have a pretty good idea about what works best for the LA area.  But anyone is welcome to host one.

are definitely out-of-bounds for married guys and guys with serious girlfriends. Too hard to explain that.

Hey, I know the mortgage market sucks right now, but don't get your panties in a bunch. Last time I checked, that winking smiley thing means KIDDING!

Funny!  I am single and I keep forgetting that there are lots of "us" out there that aren't.  Perhaps I should start a M/G for all wives of the TER guys that want to meet on Wednesdays, and the like!  Perhaps I'm onto something here...!  :)

True - A bunch of lonely, desperate housewives whose husbands are cheating on them might very well present a target-rich environment!  :)
