That's why it went to 7 games. At least that's my theory, and I'm sticking to it. I think my theory has more substance than yours.
As soon as Ray Allen had 3 fouls in the first quarter in Game 1 I told my son a) the league will push this to 7 games with the Lakers winning the first and b) either Kobe or Gasol would have 3 fouls within a few minutes into the 2nd quarter in Game 2. The officiating was horrible but both ways. During Kobe's ridiculous 3rd quarter in game 5, momentum killing calls and fouls were made against the Lakers killing momentum.
I've been watching the NBA closely and at games constantly and it was amazing how blatant it was. Agree with mattradd's statements about the rivalry and the fight etc... but after Game 1 I was certain this was going 7.
If it was rigged you would think they might try a bit more often.....like the last time they played the Celtics in 2008....which must have been rigged to go 6.
Winning was the best way to start our summer !! Yes I DO think it was rigged to go to Game 7... Why else would we have played so terribly a couple of the games ?! Hahahaha LAKERS BABY !!
